In 1990 Peter made the bold move to take voluntary redundancy from Telecom (NZ) to start his own business. From starting in his double garage to the current combined office and manufacturing facility, many products have moved from just an idea to realisation and success. Peter is still the driving force behind all new product lines and innovations and is always keen to stay involved through a products life cycle.

Margaret Andersen

Accounts Manager

Margaret joined us back in 2012. She has an accounting degree and brings a raft of skills to the team, with the most noticeable being her attention to detail.In her spare time she is an avid squash player and loves tramping, especially in the Tararuas.

Amy Rogers

Accounts & Admin

Amy joined the team late in 2017 to assist with accounts and admin jobs. Amy brings a quality skill set to Harvest after previously working as a legal executive for law firms.

Gary has been with Harvest since its beginning in 1990 making him our longest serving employee. He is both our head boffin and the person responsible for bringing Peter's ideas to an actual product, although it must be said that even Gary can't always turn all of the boss's (sometimes crazy) ideas into a product.

James McKenna

Design Engineer

James has been with us since 2017. He is an uber geek electrical engineer who lives and breathes electronics and gaming. When he is in the zone he can work or play long hours without even noticing the time.

Callum Carson

R&D Technician

Callum joined us in 2017 with a background as a qualified mechanic and part-time geek. With a skillset that mixes hardware and software, Callum wears many hats at Harvest including system building, product design, research and development, CAD design, custom machining and logic programming.

Brendon Morgan

Software Development Manager

Brendon joined us in 2009. After a few years of study at Massey University he now puts his skills to work in a mixture of responsibilities including managing software development, IT and HR. In his spare time he loves football, food, gaming and spending time with his kids (in no particular order)

Baden Grey

Software Developer

Baden has been here since 2004. He's worked on many different projects over the years being our database specialist - without him we would be lost! In recent years Baden has also been involved with Harvest sponsored community work assisting with developing a new scoring system for the Golden Shears.

Logan Clarke

Software Developer

Logan joined the Harvest team back in 2012 with a background in B2B sales and product support. As well as being a senior product specialist, Logan is also responsible for ensuring all new device firmware and new backend software are tested. Logan is also our R&D and special project man - if there is a chance our systems can do it, then Logan is the one to make it happen.

Jeremy Andrews

Jeremy joined the team in early 2019. Having spent the last 20 years working as a developer in various startup's, government and large enterprise organisations, Jeremy is enthusiastic about all things 'web' and tinkering in the IOT space.

Daniel Taplin

Software Developer

Daniel joined the Tech Support Team in 2018. Prior to joining Harvest Daniel completed a Diploma in Computer Servicing and a Degree in Software Engineering at Weltec. After a stint in Tech Support Dan moved to joined the software team. Dan is passionate about technology and spends his spare time programming or winding down with some gaming.

Mike Whipps

IT Systems Administrator

Mike joined the team in late 2021, the move from Wellington being slightly shorter than the one undertaken when he originally left the UK in 2008. Mike has worked in a range of IT positions, from small schools, to large organisations, where he has redesigned networks, built websites, and imaged untold numbers of laptops and workstations.

Andrew Munn

Andrew grew up working for his dad (Peter) after school building circuit boards. Upon leaving school he worked briefly at a local IT company before joining the Harvest team. Andrew currently heads up Support team as well as having operational oversight.

Jason McClelland

Customer Support Team Leader

Jason joined us in 2020 and is a qualified Audio Engineer. Before joining Harvest, he worked at RNZ in Wellington as the Team Leader for Production. He loves all things tech especially within music and media and has a slow growing vinyl collection. In his downtime he works on his Opaki Lifestyle block with his family cultivating Olives and Yuzu, and tending to his Kune Kune Pigs, Sheep and Horses. If there was other spare time it would be spent at Riversdale Beach, surfing or checking the craypot.

Emma Harris

Customer Support

Emma joined us in 2021, coming from a background in Admin/Customer Support and Horticulture. Outside of work she plays football and competes with Ross (her horse) in dressage.

Milly McHardy

Customer Support

Milly joined us in 2021, coming from a background in the coffee industry as a barista and then horticulture. She is generally seen around Harvest wearing bold, colourful clothing and her favourite choice of footwear - crocs. Milly has an interest in cars and can be found attending car enthusiast cruises. When she's not spending time around cars she is often in the kitchen baking and decorating cakes.

Annelise Bond

Customer Support

Annelise joined us in 2022 and has recently moved back to Masterton from Tauranga to be closer to family. She studied Marine Biology and Environmental sciences at Uni before taking a break. In her spare time she enjoys photography and thrifting vintage kitchenware.

Alana Russell

Alana joined Harvest in 2022, coming from a background of retail and hospitality. In her spare time you will find her with her horses or spending time with family.

Paul Ingle

Paul joined the Customer Support team in Jan 2023 and has a varied background including market gardening, music teaching/performance/songwriting, retail work, the list goes on. Paul has a love for music, chess, family and fun. He is also a proud Husband, Father and Grandad.

With over a decade of various experience in customer service and a period dedicated to exploring Music and Anthropology studies, Chris transitioned into the team at Harvest in 2023. Outside of work, he indulges in leisurely strolls along the beach.

Dan joined us in 2020 with a background in IT and Telematics. He spends a lot of time building, tuning and competing in various motorsport events. Often you will find him out on the coast somewhere finding a secluded fishing spot or the total opposite, attending heavy metal concerts with his wife.

Jesse Croucher

Tech Support

Jesse joined us in 2018, with a background in Auctioneering in Sydney for 15 years before moving back to the Wairarapa with his family. He has been a computer enthusiast since getting a Commodore 64 in the 1980’s. He's a big fan of Open Source Projects Inc, Linux Operating system and the Raspberry Pi devices. In his spare time you'll find him spending time with family, gardening, bushwalking and exploring the New Zealand coast.

Jay joined the team in 2017. Hailing from the hot lands of Africa he brings a sunny smile to the team. Previous work experience incorporates many areas of industry from petrochemical and power plants to PLCs and water meters. If there is a weird industry setup, we can count on Jay to have some experience. Outside of work he has a wife and kids. He enjoys walks through the NZ bush and relaxing at home.

Christian joined the support team late 2020 after spending 2 years in the telecommunications industry. Christian enjoys spending his time working with computers and thoroughly enjoys helping people getting the most out of the technology we are surrounded by.

Arie joined Harvest in late 2021, joining us after 16 Years as a John Deere technician. Arie is originally from the Netherlands and has a degree in Marine Engineering.

Chan Jackson

Tech Support

Chan joined us in 2022 with a vast background experience in Networks and Communications, Furniture making, and drafting plans for castles. He became a qualified builder and completed (most of) his own house last year. In his spare time he likes spending time with family, home automations and gadgets. He enjoys watching movies and series with friends in his movie room, wood working, furniture making and helping friends with their projects.

Kayne joined the team in 2017 to oversee coordination and customer correspondence of all Harvest returns. Alongside overseeing the warranty & repairs team, Kayne co-ordinates many of the large projects happening at Harvest including 4G upgrades. Outside of work he enjoys building computer systems, gaming and spending time with family.

Shea joined Harvest in late 2021 for the vibes and has never looked back. He’s a wannabe photographer, ex butcher, and an all round good sort. Outside of work he loves anything to do with football, questionable music and is an avid movie buff.

Field & Sales Coordinator

Jess joined us in 2022 and got comfortable right away! You'll find her outdoors in Summer (beekeeping, fishing & paddle boarding) and playing netball or at F45 in Winter.

Sam Tanner

Sales Manager

Sam joined the team back in 2015. He grew up on a dairy farm, is a trained musician/songwriter and generally creative (www.samtanner.nz). In his spare time he's often chasing his two boys around, fixing his old motorbike, or tinkering.

Jordan Olsen

Sales Engineer

Jordan joined the team in 2018. He increases the Harvest musician count by one and has a degree in Audio Engineering and Production. In his spare time you'll find him cooking, spending time with family, making music or gaming with his co-workers.

Paul Chalmers

Field & Sales Engineer [North Island]

Paul joined the team in 2021 as a sales engineer and field technician, based out of Hamilton. In 2012, Paul entered the Agtech Industry, and today, is an expert in effluent & irrigation management and monitoring systems. He loves all things Football and has spent the last 9 years coaching junior & senior teams at Melville High School.

Benjamin Orme

Field & Sales Engineer [North Island]

Ben joined the team in 2018 with a background in automotive tech and an interest in all things mechanical and electrical. He also does a spot of sound engineering whenever he can.

Jeffery Farrell

Field & Sales Engineer [South Island]

Jeff joined the team in 2017 with a background in the viticulture industry. Jeff brings a fresh perspective to the office having also been a Harvest customer. Jeff is based in South Canterbury. Some of his hobbies include hunting, fishing, and engineering.

Michael Hollingsworth

Manufacturing Manager

Michael joined the team at the start of 2014 after previously working for a video/lighting production company. His responsibilities as manufacturing manager encompass purchasing, order scheduling and quality control. Michael is also the designated health and safety officer at Harvest.

Jono Kearney

Procurement Officer

Jono joined us in 2022 after working 8 1/2 years in purchasing and international logistics for wholesale and manufacturing businesses. He prides himself on being the work place funny man and making sure the work day is full of good laughs.

Robert Gale

Senior Manufacturing Technician

Rob immigrated from England and has a background in electronic manufacturing and repairs. He joined us in 2014 and works with Kayne and the tech support team to sort RMAs and repairs, alongside Gary in building prototypes and with Simon operating the SMD plant. Rob is an avid football player and supporter of AFC Bournemouth.

Mike Ousey

Manufacturing Technician

As the longest serving manufacturing technician (2003) - Mike was responsible for the assembly of the first frost alarms and weather stations. There isn't a Harvest product that he has not worked on, with our ever developing technology.

Philip Hanson

Manufacturing Technician

Phil has been here since 2016. He's worked in the telecommunications and electronics industry since leaving school in 1979. As part of the production team, Phil helps with final assembly and shipping of core Harvest product lines. Phil also assists with field installations during busy periods. Outside of work, Phil hosts a local radio show with his wife, play in two bands and enjoy family time.

Simon Aplin

Manufacturing Technician

Simon joined us in 2012 and is involved in a variety of projects here including - Kiwirail, the Harvest Shearing Scoring System and other custom product lines. Simon loves nothing more than getting home after a tough day and enjoying some online gaming!

Hayden White

Manufacturing Technician

Hayden joined us in 2022. From an interest to a career, he enjoys the hands-on experience involved in electronics. In his downtime you can find him gaming.

Josiah Reid

Assembly Foreman

Josiah joined the manufacturing team in 2016 to assist with mechanical assembly and in 2021 took on the role as Assembly Foreman. With no hesitation gets stuck into whatever is put before him, Josiah's enthusiasm is much appreciated by the assembly team. In his spare time he is a budding sound technician, musician and 3D printing enthusiast.

Henry van Manen

Assembly Technician

Henry joined us in 2017 and brings half a century's experience to his role. He's worked on everything from vintage valve amp technology, to modern electronics, and music recording. He's an avid electric guitar player and has been in rock bands in Holland since the 60's, then taking it on the road from the 90's...which led him to New Zealand; he currently plays in a band with friends as well as in his church's worship group. Henry's vast experience and steady hand are certainly appreciated by the production team.

Louise joined us in 2021. She started her career as a book binder and over the years she has worked for a range of companies which gave her training and skills in soldering, printing and processes. Besides keeping her husband Phil in line, she brings a calm and organised workflow to the team.

Amy is one of our longest standing employees working on and off for the last 20 years. Amy currently works part time assisting our technicians and full time raising 3 children.

Jackson joined us in 2022 after 3 years in the Trade industry. In his spare time, you can find him working on cars and going for cruises.

Tony Hedges

Tony joined the Harvest assembly team in August 2023 after a long career in the audio industry. In the past he has been involved in the installation of recording and radio studios, repair of professional electronics and assembly of products for a variety of applications. He is a keen gardener and enjoys the reward of growing his own vegetables.

Greg joined us in 2023, he previously worked as a defence contractor building ships for the Aussie Navy before moving to NZ. Since moving he has worked as a CNC Plasma/Laser operator. In his free time you can find him playing in the shed or working on his lifestyle block.

Sebastian, or Bash as he prefers to be called, can be found mainly in our manufacturing area. He is crucial to the team, and workplace satisfaction. He can often be found patrolling our staff room, especially at lunch time, ensuring a tidy room by cleaning up anything dropped on the floor.
